Transcript

Alex opens CRM entities, the section that lists the entities his CRM is built on, and each one opens its own table. People are the contacts he has a real relationship with, Companies are the organisations they work for, Opportunities are the deals he's working on, and Tasks are his to-dos, linked to the people, companies or deals they're about. Analytics holds charts and dashboards built on his CRM data. Any entity the workspace creates, like Support Tickets, appears here too, and every table can be filtered, sorted and saved as a view.

Custom entities

Any entity your workspace creates, such as Support Tickets, appears in this section too. See Managing entities.

Working the tables

Each entity opens as a table you can filter, sort and save as a view. See Managing records in table view and Managing views.

Common questions

What happens when I click People, Companies or Opportunities?

Each one opens its own table, which you can filter, sort and save as a view. See Working the tables.

Where are Notes? I don't see them in the sidebar

Notes have no page of their own: you find them on each record's Notes tab. See Managing entities.

Why is a company missing from the Companies page?

A company stays off the Companies page while all of its people are leads. Promote one of them and the company appears. See Understanding the Vetta data model.

Can I add my own entity to this section?

Yes. Custom entities such as Support Tickets appear here too, and you create them from Settings → Data → Entity. See Custom entities and Managing entities.

What is Analytics?

Charts and dashboards built on your CRM data. See Analytics and dashboards.

Key outcome
