How Dalil AI works on WhatsApp
Dalil AI is not just a chatbot. It can create, update, and analyse your entire sales operating system.
For optimal results, messages should specify:
- The entity (people, companies, opportunities, tasks, pipelines)
- The filter (stage, value, activity, date, or custom field)
- The action (create, update, move, enrol, analyse)
The system works both on WhatsApp and inside the web app, keeping your CRM fully synchronised.
What you can send on WhatsApp
Text messages
Send instructions in natural language.
Example: Create a people record for John Doe with phone number +9717777777 and email john.doe@gmail.com
Images
Send images like business cards, and Dalil will extract the contact details and automatically create or update CRM records.
Voice messages
Dalil will transcribe your voice message and confirm the action before executing it. Reply "yes" if correct or send corrections.
Example requests you can try
Create a people record for John Doe with phone number +9717777777 and email john.doe@gmail.com
Move SAMPLE opportunity to Negotiation stage and change its value to $5,000

Show me the opportunities with no activity in the last 10 days
Switching workspaces
Users belonging to multiple workspaces can switch using:
switch workspace/switch
Dalil displays available workspaces for selection.
Resetting the conversation
To begin fresh interactions, users can create a new chat using:
/new-chatnew chat
Starting a new chat resets the context and ensures Dalil interprets your next request without being influenced by previous messages.
This is recommended when:
- You want to run a completely different task
- You previously executed multiple CRM actions in the same chat
- You want to avoid AI hallucinations caused by earlier context
Good prompts vs bad prompts
Specific, detailed requests generate more accurate results.
| Weak | Strong |
|---|---|
| "Help me with sales" | "Analyse opportunities and identify the bottleneck stage based on conversion rate." |
| "Update John to contacted lead" | "Update John Frank record with stage 'contacted lead'" |
| "Create a new lead" | "Create a people record for John Doe with phone number +9717777777 and email john.doe@gmail.com and create the related company called Deo & Co with domain deo&co.com" |
