Managing personal or unsynced conversations

Control which conversations sync to Dalil and how to unsync or permanently remove personal threads.

Updated April 25, 20262 min read

Dalil enables users to maintain certain discussions outside of the CRM when they lack relevance to sales activities through its Unsync feature. This capability ensures sensitive exchanges stay private while remaining accessible if needed later.

What "Unsync" Means

When a conversation is unsynced, Dalil discontinues CRM tracking. The thread will:

  • Get removed from CRM records
  • Stop syncing upcoming messages into Dalil
  • Disappear from pipelines, activity timelines, and analytics

The original conversation persists on your device but gets removed from Dalil's databases.

Personal Conversations

Messages involving colleagues' personal matters, non-business communications, or private discussions should not clutter CRM systems. The Unsync option keeps your CRM focused on relevant business interactions only.

Removing a Conversation from the CRM

To unsync a conversation:

  1. Open the conversation thread
  2. Click Unsync from the thread actions
  3. Confirm the action

This prevents the conversation from associating with any CRM records, maintaining cleanliness across People, Company, and Opportunity data.

Resyncing a Conversation

Previously unsynced conversations can be restored to Dalil if they become relevant. Resyncing reconnects the thread to your CRM, allowing you to link it to appropriate Person, Company, or Opportunity records.

Privacy and Data Control

The Unsync feature grants users authority over which discussions get tracked by the CRM, ensuring:

  • Personal exchanges remain confidential
  • Analytics stay accurate
  • Only business-relevant interactions populate your system
