Onboarding: your first hour in Vetta

What happens step by step when you sign up: Vetta looks up your company, interviews you in six questions, builds your workspace, agent and sequence, finds your first leads and drafts your first message. Plus how the 7-day free trial works.

Onboarding takes you from a new account to real leads and a drafted first campaign in about an hour, most of it spent reading what Vetta prepared for you rather than filling in forms. It runs in six steps, shown as a row of pills at the top of the screen: Welcome, Interview, Build, Scout, Send and Day one. You can go back to an earlier question with the arrow next to the main button.

ℹ️

Your free trial. Vetta asks for a credit card when you pick your plan, but nothing is charged during the 7-day free trial. The checkout shows Total due today: $0.00. You are only charged when the trial ends, and you can cancel before then.

Step 1: Welcome

Vetta starts by looking you up from your signup email, so you do not have to describe your company. Under We already looked you up you see the company it found, with its industry, size and city, enriched from your domain. This is the enrichment engine working on you first.

  • This is my company confirms it.
  • Edit details lets you correct the name, website or industry.
  • Not your company? Give us your domain looks up the right one. Vetta confirms with "Found it. Enriched from yourdomain.com, so every question after this one starts from your real company."

Below, under And you, fill in your first name, last name and role. They sign every email Vetta sends for you, exactly as you write them here. Click Set it all up for me to continue.

Step 2: Interview

Six short questions, each prefilled from what Vetta found on your website. Read each one, fix what is off and confirm. Several questions also offer Copy prompt for ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini: paste the prompt into the AI you already use, which knows your business, and use its answer to fill the fields.

  1. What do you sell, and what does it do for your customer? Three short texts drafted from your website: What we sell, The outcome we deliver and, optionally, Who we never sell to. Each can be edited or expanded to full screen.
  1. Who should your scout go after? Your ideal customer: target industry, target company size and roles we sell to, with a short note on why we picked these. These exact picks drive your lead search.
  1. Which moments make a company ripe for you? The buying signals your scout watches, for example keywords people post about, competitor pages, people engaging with you or your company page, recent job changes, hiring momentum and the roles a company is hiring for. Each keyword, page or event counts as one signal; you need at least 5, and up to 20.
  1. Which channels do you send on? Pick at least one, Email or LinkedIn (WhatsApp can be added later from your account settings). Optionally choose what your first message and follow-ups are for, such as Get a call or demo booked, what each message asks for, and the customer results you can point to as proof. Left blank, Vetta decides them from your business context.
  1. How should your messages be written? Vetta drafts two rulebooks from your business: How your messages get written and How your replies get written. Open either to read every rule and change anything that is not how you would write. These become the AI skills behind every message. See Tuning messages with skill files.
  1. How big is your team, and who sells? Just me, 2-5, 6-20 or 20+, so Vetta configures the right senders and seats. Click Build my workspace.

Step 3: Build

Vetta sets everything up in a few seconds and ticks each item off as it goes:

  • Your workspace, named after your company
  • Your details, so messages sign off as you
  • Your business context and your AI skills
  • Your lead agent and the sequence it will run
  • Your ideal customer and your buying signals
  • Your outreach sequence, shaped by the channels you picked

When it reads Your workspace is ready, everything is real and yours to edit. Your sequence is saved as a draft, so nothing is sent until you connect an account and publish it. Click Find my first leads.

Step 4: Scout

Your agent searches straight away against the ideal customer you just set and shows Your first leads: real people, scored on fit, each with their role, company, location and LinkedIn profile. They are saved to your agent, so they are waiting for you after onboarding. From then on your scout keeps searching on its own schedule and drips fresh leads into the same list, rather than handing you a one-off export. Click Prepare the first send.

Step 5: Send

On the left, Your first send, for one lead shows the first message Vetta drafted for one of your new leads, marked Draft, written with your rulebook and the lead's own company details. On the right, Connect the accounts you send from lists only the channels you picked. Each account you connect is attached to your sequence as a sender, which is what lets it be published; connecting brings you straight back to this step.

You can also click Skip for now. Your sequence stays unpublished until you connect an account in settings and publish it yourself, and your scout still keeps finding leads.

Step 6: Day one

Your Sales OS is alive. Under Make it fully yours, Vetta suggests what to set up next:

  • Install the Chrome extension to capture any LinkedIn profile into your list in one click
  • Connect your WhatsApp number to ask Vetta AI: add your number and scan the QR code, then message your workspace like a colleague. See WhatsApp AI agent.
  • Install the MCP to give Claude and your other AI tools read and write access to your workspace
  • Discover our learning feature: short lessons inside Vetta on the plays top sales teams run

Click Complete.

Pick your plan and start the trial

Vetta then shows the AI Sales OS plan: $99 per workspace per month, with everything included (AI agents on WhatsApp, 1,000 AI and enrichment credits, Claude Code Skills, integrations, a user seat, email and social accounts, unlimited records and pipelines). Click Start free trial.

The secure checkout, powered by Stripe, asks for your name, billing address and card. It shows the date your first payment is due and Total due today: $0.00. Click Start trial.

You land in your agent, with its status at the top (Scout · Active, Sequence · Draft), your first leads in the Leads tab and the Getting started card in the sidebar counting the days left in your trial. Your scout starts searching as soon as your plan is active; your sequence starts sending once it has a sender and you publish it. Next: Reviewing agent leads and Working with the agent sequence.

💡

Nothing in onboarding is final. Your business context, ideal customer, signals, rulebooks and sequence can all be changed later from your agent and from Settings.
