AI Meeting Notes

Connect Fathom to Dalil and every recorded meeting becomes a CRM record with summary, transcript, and action items, linked to the right people automatically.

Meetings are where deals actually move, and where CRM data usually dies, because nobody writes up the call. AI Meeting Notes fixes that: connect your Fathom AI note taker, and every recorded meeting lands in Dalil as a structured record, linked to the participants automatically.

What an AI Meeting Note contains

Each meeting note is a full CRM record with:

  • Meeting Title: what the call was
  • Summary: the AI-written recap of what was discussed
  • Transcript: the full text of the conversation (with its language)
  • Action Items: the commitments and next steps extracted from the call
  • Share URL: a link to the original recording
  • Calendar Invitees and Meeting Participants: who was on the call

You'll find them under AI Meeting Notes in your entities, with all the usual capabilities: views, filters, and search.

Connecting Fathom

  1. Open Settings β†’ Core Integrations
  2. Find the Fathom card (AI Meeting note taker) and click Connect
  3. Enter your Fathom API Key
  4. Use Import to pull in your existing recorded meetings; new recordings sync automatically

Automatic participant matching

The part that makes this CRM-grade: Dalil matches meeting participants to your existing People records. When you open a contact's record page, the AI Meeting Note tab shows the meetings they were part of, summary and action items included, right next to their conversations and timeline.

That means "what happened on the last call with this account?" is answered on the record itself, not in a separate meetings tool.

Meeting notes in automation

Meeting activity is a first-class signal in the rest of the system:

  • Sequences: the Created AI Meeting Note condition branches on whether a meeting happened: if yes, stop outreach and hand off; if no, keep following up
  • Workflows: trigger on new AI Meeting Note records to create follow-up tasks from a call, or feed the summary to an AI agent step that updates deal fields
  • Ask Dalil: meeting summaries and transcripts are part of the context Ask Dalil AI can draw on when you ask about an account

Practical tips

  • Record consistently: the value compounds when every external call lands in the CRM; patchy recording means patchy context
  • Use action items: they're extracted per meeting; a workflow can turn them into real Tasks assigned to the owner
  • Check participant links: if a participant joined with a personal email, link them to the right Person record so the meeting shows on the correct timeline

Key outcome

AI Meeting Notes closes the biggest gap in CRM hygiene: the conversation that actually happened. Every call becomes searchable, structured data on the right records: summaries for managers, transcripts for context, and action items that flow straight into your automation.
