Using Inbox Filters, Views, and Collaboration in Dalil
Filter conversations by channel, section, and status; find any thread with search; and collaborate through shared threads and comments.
The Dalil Unified Inbox serves as a daily workspace for sales teams, providing tools to filter conversations, organize threads, collaborate with teammates, and search across all communications.
Channel tabs
The top-level way to slice the inbox is by channel:
- All: every conversation across channels in one stream
- Email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn: one channel at a time
Within each channel tab you select which of your connected sender accounts you're viewing, so multi-account users (e.g., two mailboxes) can work one identity at a time.
Sections
The inbox organises threads into sections that answer "what kind of conversation is this?":
| Section | Contains |
|---|---|
| All | Everything |
| Favourites | Threads you pinned |
| Synced (Not in People) | Conversations with contacts not yet in your CRM |
| Added to People | Conversations with tracked CRM contacts |
| Groups | Group conversations |
| Archived | Threads you archived |
| Shared Threads | Threads teammates shared with you |
The split between Synced (Not in People) and Added to People doubles as a triage queue: work through the first section deciding who belongs in your CRM (see Linking conversations).
Quick filters
Per account, you can narrow the thread list to:
- Unread: messages awaiting your attention
- Pinned: your favourites
- Drafted: threads with an unsent draft (including AI-drafted replies waiting for review)
- Archived
Search
The inbox search finds conversations across your threads and messages. For CRM records (people, companies, opportunities), use Dalil's global search. The inbox is also accessible to Ask Dalil AI, so you can ask questions like "show me threads with no reply this week" in natural language.
Team collaboration
Shared threads: Share any conversation with colleagues; it appears in their Shared Threads section. Use this for handoffs, second opinions, or looping in a manager on a deal-critical exchange.
Comments: Add internal comments to a conversation to discuss it without the contact seeing anything. Comments keep the debate attached to the thread instead of scattered in Slack.
Bulk actions: Select multiple threads and share, archive, favourite, or mark them read in one operation.
Putting it together
A typical daily flow:
- Open All β Unread and clear responses (with AI reply drafting where useful)
- Check Drafted and send the reviewed drafts
- Sweep Synced (Not in People) and add real prospects to People
- Check Shared Threads for anything teammates need from you
