Managing LinkedIn conversations and engagement in Dalil

View, reply to, and track LinkedIn messages alongside email and WhatsApp in the Dalil Unified Inbox, and sync LinkedIn contacts with the Chrome extension.

Overview

Dalil integrates LinkedIn as a primary communication channel within its Unified Inbox, enabling sales teams to manage conversations alongside their CRM without switching between platforms. Once your LinkedIn account is connected (see LinkedIn CRM integration), your message threads sync into the LinkedIn tab of the inbox.

LinkedIn messaging in the inbox

LinkedIn conversations appear as standard threads with full history and media. You can:

  • Reply directly from Dalil: messages send through your connected LinkedIn account
  • Use templates and AI reply in the composer, like any other channel
  • See at a glance whether the contact is tracked in your CRM, and add them with Add to people

Everything stays linked to the contact's record, so LinkedIn outreach shows up on the same timeline as email and WhatsApp.

Contact context

When a LinkedIn conversation is linked to a person, Dalil shows the contact's CRM details alongside the thread, with quick actions to add a note or task, link a pipeline or opportunity, and update the deal stage without leaving the inbox.

Automated LinkedIn engagement

Beyond one-to-one messaging, LinkedIn actions can run automatically inside Sequences:

  • View LinkedIn Profile: trigger a profile-visit notification before you message
  • Send LinkedIn Connection Request: with an optional personalised note
  • Send LinkedIn Message: to existing connections
  • Delete LinkedIn Connection Request: withdraw pending invitations

Daily LinkedIn limits (messages, connection requests, profile visits) are enforced per sender to protect your account.

Contact synchronization with the Chrome extension

Dalil's Chrome extension syncs LinkedIn contacts into the CRM while you browse:

  • Individual profiles: sync a person you're viewing to create their Person record (with company details captured from their profile)
  • Company pages: create Company records directly from a LinkedIn company page

Combined with inbox syncing, this means both the people you talk to and the people you find while prospecting end up in the same database.

Strategic value

By embedding LinkedIn activity into the CRM workflow, teams capture conversations automatically, keep engagement history on the record, and integrate LinkedIn touches with multi-channel sequences, preventing LinkedIn interactions from remaining isolated in an external tool.
