Ask Dalil AI

Chat with your CRM in natural language: ask questions, reference records with @mentions, run the GTM Strategist, and act on your data from anywhere.

Updated August 6, 20263 min read

Ask Dalil AI is the conversational way to work your CRM. Instead of clicking through tables and filters, you ask: "which deals have gone quiet this month?", "draft a follow-up for Sarah", "summarise my pipeline", and Dalil answers with your actual data, because it has access to your records, conversations, and pipelines.

You'll find it at the top of the sidebar as Ask Dalil AI.

The chat workspace

The Ask Dalil page is a full chat workspace:

  • Chat history lives in a sidebar: every conversation is saved, and you can rename a chat's title or delete chats you no longer need
  • New chat starts a fresh context when you switch topics
  • Answers are grounded in your workspace: people, companies, opportunities, pipelines, tasks, notes, and synced conversations

@Mention your records

Type @ to mention a specific person or company and pull that record directly into the conversation's context:

What's the status with @Acme Corp? Draft a check-in
message for @Sarah Chen referencing our last call.

Mentions remove ambiguity; the AI works with exactly the record you meant, not a guess by name.

The GTM Strategist

From Ask Dalil you can launch the GTM Strategist: a guided AI session that builds a go-to-market strategy from your data and inputs, streaming its output as it works. Use it when you need structured strategic output (ICP definition, messaging angles, channel plan) rather than a quick answer. GTM Strategist sessions consume AI credits.

Dalil AI on every record

Ask Dalil isn't only a page. The same assistant is available in context:

  • On record pages: the Dalil AI tab lets you ask about the specific person, company, or deal you're viewing
  • In the inbox: AI reply drafts responses from the conversation history
  • On WhatsApp: the Dalil AI WhatsApp Agent gives you the same capabilities from your phone, including creating and updating records by text or voice message

Teaching it your business

Ask Dalil gets sharper when you give it context to work with:

Writing good prompts

The same rules as the WhatsApp agent apply. Specific beats vague:

WeakStrong
"Help me with my pipeline""List opportunities in Negotiation with no activity in 14 days, sorted by amount"
"Write an email""Draft a short follow-up to @John Frank referencing the pricing discussion, soft CTA"

Start a new chat when you switch to an unrelated task, so old context doesn't influence the answer.

Key outcome

Ask Dalil AI collapses the distance between a question and an action. Anything you'd normally assemble from filters, record pages, and exports (status checks, prioritisation, drafting, strategy) you can simply ask for, in the app or from your phone.
