Administration and Collaboration

Sharing and Permissions

Understand how data visibility and access control work across your Dalil workspace to maintain security while enabling collaboration.

How it works

  • Team invitation - Invite teammates as either Members (standard access) or Admins (full settings control) through the workspace menu.

  • Record visibility - All records including People, Companies, Opportunities, and Products are visible to every workspace member by default.

  • Email privacy - Synced emails remain private to the sender; only metadata (sender, time) is visible to teammates until sharing is enabled.

  • Shared resources - Email templates, tasks, and notes are workspace-wide resources accessible to all members for collaboration.

  • Admin privileges - Only admins can access Settings panel, manage users, configure integrations, and modify workspace structure.

  • Multiple workspaces - Users can belong to multiple workspaces with independent permissions, switching via the top-left dropdown.

  • Future enhancements - Per-record permissions and granular email sharing controls are planned for future releases.

Tips

  • Regularly audit workspace members to ensure appropriate access levels

  • Use admin privileges sparingly to maintain workspace stability

  • Create separate workspaces for different teams or projects requiring isolation

  • Document permission policies for new team member onboarding
