Getting Started
Email & calendar integration

Connecting your email (Google or Microsoft Outlook) and calendar to Dalil AI allows the platform to automatically sync messages, events, and meetings with your CRM. This ensures your contacts, companies, and activities are always up to date without manual data entry.
How to connect Email & Calendar
There are two ways to start the integration process:
From the Getting Started page
Click Sync next to “Email/Calendar.”
From Core Integrations in Settings
Go to the top-left menu → Workspace Name → Account Settings → Core Integrations
Click Add Email
Select Google (Gmail, Google Workspace) or Microsoft (Outlook, Office 365)
Follow the authentication steps from your provider
Once authentication is complete, Dalil AI will automatically import your emails and calendar events.
What Dalil AI does after sync
When your email and calendar are integrated:
People records are created from the left part of the email (before @).
Example: john@acme.com → creates person John
Company records are created from the domain (after @).
Example: john@acme.com → creates company Acme
If the email is personal (gmail.com, outlook.com), no company is attached
This automatic record creation ensures Dalil AI builds and maintains your CRM database without manual entry.
Visibility settings for Email & Calendar
Dalil AI allows you to control data visibility across your team:
Email Visibility
Everything → subject, body, and attachments shared
Subject & Metadata → subject + participants + timestamp
Metadata only → date + participants only
Calendar Visibility
Everything → full event details shared
Metadata only → only date & participants
Contact Auto-Creation
Enable automatic contact creation for people you email or meet with
Choose “Sent and Received,” “Sent only,” or “None” for emails
Enable/disable auto-creation from calendar events
Troubleshooting: Reconnecting accounts

If Google or Microsoft disconnects your email/calendar for security reasons, you may see a “Sync failed” tag.
Click the three dots next to your account
Select Reconnect
Re-authenticate with your provider
This will restore your email and calendar sync immediately.
