Dalil Notes management

Notes in Dalil AI let you capture important information, insights, and context about your People, Companies, or Opportunities. Unlike external note-taking tools, Dalil keeps your notes directly inside the record, so they are always tied to the right contact or deal.

Where to find notes

  • In the sidebar under Activities → Notes (global view across your workspace).

  • Inside a record’s detailed view, under the “Notes” tab (record-level notes).

Creating notes

You can create notes in three simple ways:

  1. From the global Notes page → add general notes not tied to a specific record.

  2. From a record detailed view → notes created here are automatically linked to that Person, Company, or Opportunity.

  3. Via AI chat (WhatsApp or sidebar) → simply type “Add a note for Acme Corp: client requested pricing update” and Dalil will create the note inside the record.

Managing notes

  • Formatting: Notes support rich text (bullets, bold, links, etc.), making it easier to structure meeting takeaways, call summaries, or action points.

  • Contextual linking: Notes remain permanently linked to the record they belong to. For example, adding a note during a call with John Doe ensures it lives inside John’s profile.

  • Visibility: Notes follow the same sharing and visibility rules as other records. You can choose whether a note is visible to your entire workspace or just specific people.

  • History tracking: Notes stay in the activity log of the record, creating a reliable timeline of interactions.

Notes in workflows

Notes are most powerful when used as part of your workflow:

  • Capture meeting summaries directly after calls.

  • Document objections or buying signals during a conversation.

  • Keep track of internal coaching tips on an Opportunity.

Because notes are structured data inside Dalil, the AI can read and use them for signals, scoring, and tips.

👉 Example: You add a note “Client interested but budget is limited until Q4.” Dalil AI can highlight this as a buying signal, update scoring, and suggest a follow-up closer to Q4.

Why notes matter

  • No more scattered notes across docs or apps.

  • AI learns from your notes to provide more accurate scoring, insights, and reminders.

  • Notes become part of your company’s collective intelligence, always accessible and searchable.

👉 Example workflow: After a LinkedIn call, you add a quick note in the record: “Prospect asked for a demo next week.” This note is stored in context, visible to your team, and automatically influences Dalil’s AI scoring for that contact.
