Pro tips for a smooth Import
  1. Before importing, check your file structure. Ensure your file's columns match those in Dalil AI - if necessary, create custom fields beforehand to prevent mapping issues.

  2. Avoid duplication by reviewing your data before uploading to eliminate duplicate entries

  3. Use consistent formatting across your Excel or CSV files for smooth processing.

Step 1: Locate the Import button

Start by navigating to the relevant entity—Leads, Contacts, Accounts, or Deals, and find the IMPORT button in the top-left corner of the table view. Click this button to initiate the import process.

Step 2: Select your file

After clicking IMPORT, a popup window will appear. You can either:

  • Click to browse your computer and select the desired Excel or CSV file OR

  • Drag and drop the file directly into the popup window for added convenience.

If your file contains multiple sheets, you will be prompted to choose the sheet to import.

Step 3: Choose import destination
  • Select the relevant entity (Leads, Contacts, Accounts, or Deals).

  • Specify the group within that section to organize your data effectively (or create a new group).

Click Upload to proceed.

Step 4: AI-powered column mapping

Dalil smart mapping feature automatically detects and matches the columns in your file with existing CRM fields.

Review the mapping to ensure accuracy:

  • If all columns match correctly, proceed to the next step

  • If adjustments are needed, verify the existing headers in the group where the data will be imported

  • You can directly correct any record information (singularly or in bulk) before finalizing the import

Step 5: Resolve data field mismatches

This step ensures smooth data integration without errors or inconsistencies.

Step 6: Review and finalize

After resolving mismatches, review the final data mapping. Once everything looks correct, click Import. Your data will automatically flow into the selected group and become accessible in the CRM.

Step 7: Optional customization

If newly imported data appears incorrectly mapped to Stages or other fields, you can fix this using Dalil's

Customization feature: modify column names and labels directly on your table or navigate to the customization settings to order and add columns as needed.
