Custom Fields: shape your data in Dalil AI

In Dalil AI, Custom Fields let you tailor Leads, Contacts, Accounts, or Deals to fit your unique needs. Start with defaults, then build a database that works exactly how you want it.

What are custom fields?

Each entity (Leads, Contacts, etc.) comes with default columns—standard data fields like name or email. Custom Fields take it further, letting you add as many extra fields as you need, from text to tags, to capture what matters most to your business.

Example: Add an “Additional Priority” tag to Contacts or a “Budget” number to Deals.

Adding custom fields: total flexibility
  • Purpose: Expand your database with fields that match your workflow.

  • Options: Create fields like:

    • Text (e.g., notes or descriptions).

    • Email or phone numbers.

    • Tags (single-select or multi-select, like “High Value” or “Cold”).

    • Numbers (e.g., revenue or quantity).

  • How It Works: Go to the customization panel in a Group, click to add a field, pick its type, name it, and save.

Use Case: Track “Last Contact Date” for Leads or “Industry Type” for Accounts.

Rearranging columns: your order, your way
  • Purpose: Set the column layout to suit your preferences within Groups.

  • How It Works:

    1. Drag and Drop: In Table view, grab a column header and slide it where you want.

    2. Customization Panel: Adjust the order while adding fields.

  • Note: This applies only to Groups—Main Lists stay fixed.

Use Case: Move “Status” to the front for quick scanning in a “Hot Deals” Group.
